Job Overview

The Central Access Representative plays a key role in interacting with patients, providers, payers, and team members involved in patient care.

  • Supports clinic and outpatient chemotherapy services.
  • Ensures accuracy in demographic, financial, referral/authorization, clinical, and registration data.
  • Coordinates with physicians or nurses to obtain clinical information.
  • Supports departmental policies and initiatives to improve patient experience, throughput, safety, and revenue cycle outcomes.
  • Collaborates and communicates to create a positive patient experience throughout the access and revenue cycle.
  • Supports peer leadership in training, support, escalation, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, hospital systems, and insurance processes.
  • 2+ years in patient access.
  • Proficiency in multiple revenue cycle functions.
  • Completion of all training orientation programs.

  • Follows departmental processes to ensure accuracy, safety, patient experience, and revenue outcomes.
