This position plays a key role in patient interactions, supporting clinic and outpatient chemotherapy services. Responsibilities include scheduling, insurance verification, patient payment collection, and coordination with healthcare providers.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform scheduling, preregistration, insurance and benefits verification, and patient payment collection in accordance with customer service standards.
  2. Coordinate with physicians or nurses to obtain clinical information.
  3. Schedule outpatient testing for patients with scheduled appointments or recurring visits.
  4. Answer phones efficiently, providing courteous access to the organization.
  5. Meet productivity, quality, and service goals.
  6. Ensure accuracy in data collection and entry, demonstrating critical thinking and customer service excellence.
  7. Accurately schedule, verify, and communicate demographic, financial, referral, clinical, and registration data.
  8. Support departmental policies and initiatives to enhance patient experience, throughput, safety, and revenue cycle outcomes.
  9. Handle scheduling of hospital and physician services, pre-registration, insurance verification, referral coordination, pre-certification, and financial screening.
  10. Collaborate to create a positive patient access and revenue cycle experience.
Requirements
  • Call Center and customer service experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED (within one year of hire).
  • 1+ years of relevant patient access experience preferred.
  • Successful completion of training and orientation programs.
