Job summary

onsemi seeks a reliable Central Utility Plant (CUP) Operator for the Hopewell Junction site. This role offers a night shift with a compressed schedule and a 15% night differential, plus a sign-on bonus of $5,000.

You will monitor and operate boilers, chillers, and other utility systems while maintaining logs and following safety procedures. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and basic mechanical aptitude, with the willingness to learn and dedicate to rotating 12-hour overnights on

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, and adjust plant equipment (boilers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, etc.)
• Perform routine inspections and log readings of all utility systems
• Respond to alarms and abnormal system conditions
• Assist with basic maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment
• Maintain accurate operational logs and reports
• Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies
• Communicate effectively with teammates during shift turnover
• Support emergency response as needed

onsemi is seeking a reliable and motivated Central Utility Plant (CUP) Operator to support our site, Hopewell Junction, the safe and efficient operation of our facility’s utility systems. This role is ideal for candidates looking to grow their career in facilities operations while working a compressed work week on the night shift.

Night 2

6:30 PM-7:00 AM Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, e/o Saturday, extra 15% night shift differential

Sign on bonus

Subject to your commencing employment with us, you will also be eligible to receive a sign on award in the gross amount of $5,000, which will be paid in 4 quarterly payments of $1,250 each (subject to applicable taxes and payroll deductions). The first payment is payable within the first (30) days of you joining onsemi and quarterly thereafter for 3 additional payments. You must be an active employee with onsemi to receive these sign on awards. In addition, if your employment is terminated with onsemi for any reason, the sign on award(s) received as of the date of your termination do not need to be repaid to onsemi

Employees in this role may be required to participate in the site Emergency Response Brigade and support emergency preparedness activities. Participation includes maintaining required training, certifications, and response readiness in accordance with site policies and business needs.

Hourly: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is$21.20 to $36.92 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
