Job summary

Deaconess News is seeking a Central Supply Technician to support patient care by cleaning, sterilizing, assembling, and delivering medical equipment across the hospital. This hands-on role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Under CSP Manager supervision, you will handle inventory, organize restock areas, label items, prepare OR carts, verify expirations, and assist with onboarding new staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in healthcare or fast-paced environments preferred.
• Attention to detail and accuracy essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and reassemble medical equipment using approved procedures.
• Test equipment for proper function and replace damaged parts.
• Document activities and route inoperable equipment for repair.
• Bag, tag, and label cleaned equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
• Deliver supplies and prepare surgical (OR) case carts as needed.
• Restock supply areas and maintain organized inventory.
• Check expiration dates and verify integrity of sterile supplies.
• Respond to department calls and assist with supply needs.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe; support onboarding.
