Job summary

Greater Ohio Oral & Facial Surgery seeks a detail-oriented Sterilization Specialist to ensure autoclaves and sterilization systems operate safely and efficiently. You will clean, sterilize, and prepare instruments, set up trays for procedures, and maintain records for compliance.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and healthcare sterilization experience, with CPR certification preferred. Excellent teamwork and strict confidentiality are essential in this role within a weekday daytime

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in sterilization, infection control, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Certificate in dental assisting, surgical assisting, or sterile processing preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate autoclaves and sterilization systems at start of day.
• Clean, sterilize, and prepare instruments and trays following protocols.
• Set up surgical trays for providers and ensure timely availability for procedures.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and safety.
• Maintain autoclaves and sterilization equipment; perform weekly spore testing.
• Manage inventory of sterile supplies and stock levels.
• Document sterilization processes and logs for compliance and audits.
