We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Central Sterile Technician.
This role involves the decontamination, sterilization, and preparation of instruments and patient care equipment. Responsibilities include restocking/exchanging crash carts, issuing supplies, operating sterilization equipment, and maintaining documentation for regulatory compliance.
High School diploma or GED required. Certified and Registered Central Service Technician (HSPA) or Certification from the Certification for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD); provisional certification acceptable. Must complete 400 hours of hands-on training prior to certification expiration.
Sterile Proc & Dist-Cert CBSPD, Central Sterile Tech (HSPA)
1-2 years of experience in Central Service or Surgical Processing. Knowledge of aseptic techniques, sterilization procedures, infection control, and equipment processing. Familiarity with various surgical equipment and ability to identify and ensure accuracy of surgical instruments and supplies across multiple specialties.
Effective communication skills with all organizational levels are essential.

Salary range: $57,758.20 - $62,137.20 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This range complies with New York State's salary transparency law. Actual compensation may vary based on multiple factors. Click here for the Pay Transparency Notice.
