Job summary

Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a Central Sterile Tech to join our operating room support team. You will perform instrument decontamination, sterilization, and assembly in accordance with AAMI, AORN, and hospital policy, ensuring safety and readiness for general surgery, bariatrics, orthopedic, and urological procedures.

This full-time mid-shift role includes on-call rotation, a pathway to CSR certification within 6 months, and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CSR certification within 6 months of hire.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides inspection, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments and equipment per guidelines.
• Operates department equipment daily with emphasis on safety.
• Provides customer service to departments with patient focus.
• Documents sterile supplies and equipment and verifies sterility per policy.
• Monitors antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing and records results.
