Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare in Georgia is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to maintain standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection and sterilization of surgical instruments. You will collaborate with Perioperative Nursing to ensure timely provision of sterile instrument sets and case carts.

Education: HS diploma or GED; CST certification preferred. Three years of Central Sterile experience required, CST or CCST preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech program required.
• In lieu of CST certificate, 3 years of Central Sterile experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an accurate and timely manner.
