ANCC Magnet designated UPMC Passavant is currently hiring a Full-Time Central Sterile Processing Technician to support the Sterilization Department at the Cranberry location.
Title and salary will be determined based upon education and experience.
Shift Details:
- 9a - 5:30p
- No weekends or holidays
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and assembles surgical trays and equipment.
- Adheres to decontamination, sterile processing, infection control, and safety policies.
- Troubleshoots decontamination/sterilization equipment.
- Performs related duties as assigned or required in emergencies.
- Demonstrates knowledge of performance improvement tools and techniques.
- Continuously improves care quality and integrates best practices.
- Shares improvements with other units.
- Communicates effectively with care providers and recommends practice changes.
- Ensures comprehensive documentation for caregiver communication.
- Analyzes clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual issues critically.
- Incorporates goals to improve patient safety, quality, and satisfaction.
