Position Overview:

Decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instrumentation. Perform decontamination functions for surgical instrumentation and equipment using proper infection control techniques, following manufacturer’s recommendations and standards from AAMI, AORN, and the Joint Commission. Assemble surgical instrumentation and equipment, preparing them for sterilization. Utilize features of computerized tray tracking systems. Select appropriate sterilizer methods and parameters. Assemble surgical case carts, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and manage instrument inventory to ensure timely distribution to the operating room. Precept new employees and serve as a resource person.

Additional Information:

Offers are contingent upon successful completion of onboarding and a pre-employment physical. Capital Health requires all applicants to have an annual flu vaccine prior to start, with exemptions for medical or religious reasons.
