Qualifications

Overview
We are seeking a Central Sterile Processing Technician also referred to as our Central Supply Tech or SPD Processor. The Sterile Technician plays a critical role in maintaining patient safety by preventing infection and ensuring sterile conditions throughout the hospital or healthcare facility.
Shift's Available: Days
Employment Type: Full-time
Hours: 8-hour shift
Location: Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, KS

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Responsible for decontamination, preparation, sterilization of central sterile trays, instruments and equipment
- Inventory and restocking of supplies
- Computer data entry and patient charge card batching
- Demonstrates knowledge of all department locations within facility and ability to access all departments
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates detailed awareness and knowledge of patient supplies and equipment
Qualifications
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
- High school diploma or equivalent, OR related experience
- Current BLS (AHA)
Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:
- At least two (2) years' experience as a Central Sterile Technician in an acute care hospital setting
- Central Supply Certification
