Job Summary

The Central Service Technician II is responsible for maintaining the Central Service and Warehouse inventory, replenishing medical supplies, distributing clinical equipment and generating patient charges. In addition, this position is responsible for mentoring new staff.

Pay Range

Minimum $23.08 Midpoint $30.59 Maximum $38.09

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Experience

  • Required: Previous hospital and or related supply changing work experience.
  • Preferred: Five (5) years of hospital and/or related supply changing work experience

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.

Training

  • Required: None required.

Specialized Skills

  • Required: Knowledge of hospital supplies and supply station software inventory management. Good computer skills, with ability to learn multiple (4) software systems. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral. Strong organization skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards; care with sensitivity and respect; advance care through development of new ideas and technology; promote teamwork to achieve CHOC's mission; and understand and exceed customer expectations.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Lawson inventory software and PYXIS

Licensure

  • Required: None required.

Work Environments - Functional Demand

Light - Moderate energy level Lift and carry 25-35 lbs. Push/pull 50-100 lbs. (ie. empty bed, stretcher).
