Job summary

Premier Orthopaedics, in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder, is seeking a dedicated Central Scheduling Representative to join our King of Prussia site. You will register patients and schedule appointments over the telephone while delivering service with a smile in a fast-paced environment.

With full training, you will coordinate appointments for 19 physicians across 16 PA/NJ locations, verify insurance requirements, and maintain HIPAA compliance while providing accurate scheduling

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service experience in a call center, retail, or hospitality setting.
• Experience with private health insurance and workers’ compensation preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; professional to patients, families, providers, and staff.
• Proficient in medical software and EMR systems; accurate data entry and confidentiality.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple phone lines; work independently or in a team.
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and schedule appointments over the telephone with a courteous, empathetic approach.
• Screen patients to determine urgency and schedule within appropriate timeframes.
• Coordinate appointments for physicians across multiple locations in PA/NJ.
• Verify insurance acceptance and advise on referrals, authorizations, and co-pays.

Premier Orthopaedics, in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Central Scheduling Representative (CSR) to join our team in King of Prussia, PA. Position Summary

The Central Scheduling Representative (CSR) is responsible for registering patients and scheduling appointments over the telephone while delivering service "with a smile." This position requires a person with outstanding customer service skills. You must be patient and empathetic while being efficient, accurate, and effective when registering patients and routing to the preferred physician in the preferred office. This is a full-time position on-site at King of Prussia.

Key Responsibilities

• Screen patients to determine urgency and schedule appointments within appropriate timeframes
• Conduct patient interviews and enter accurate information into the patient management system
• Coordinate appointments for 19 physicians across 16 office locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey
• Verify insurance acceptance and advise patients on requirements such as referrals, authorizations, and co-pays
• Confirm appointments and respond to patient inquiries courteously and accurately
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• Assist other departments as needed when time permits
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required

Experience:

• Customer service experience required (call center, retail, hospitality, etc.)
• Experience with private health insurance and workers’ compensation preferred
• Experience coordinating appointments and managing patient scheduling in a clinical environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to speak confidently and professionally to patients, families, providers, and staff
• Proficient in medical software and EMR systems; strong data entry and accuracy skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple phone lines efficiently
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively within a team
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Demonstrated professionalism, empathy, and patient-centered approach
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus but not required
