Capital Health is seeking a detail-oriented Scheduling/Pre-Registration Clerk to handle patient scheduling for diagnostic tests and to pre-register patients efficiently. The role requires navigating multiple systems, ensuring pre-certifications are obtained, and collaborating with physician offices to secure accurate codes.

The listed pay range or pay rate reflects compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time).

SUMMARY (Basic Purpose of the Job):
Schedules and pre-registers patients for diagnostic tests accurately and efficiently in conformance with applicable guidelines to facilitate quality patient care. Handles a large volume of incoming calls and navigates between multiple systems to schedule various departments.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: One year call center experience assisting patients within a hospital or medical environment required.
Knowledge and Skills: Displays strong customer service and communication skills to properly assist patients' needs. Strong attention to detail.
Special Training: Working knowledge of medical terminology; CPT and ICD-10.
Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities: Ability to multi-task and navigate between systems simultaneously. Ability to handle a large volume of incoming calls. Manages time and works well in a fast-paced environment.
