POSITION SUMMARY:

The Central Scheduler is responsible for accurately performing the pre-services functions for scheduled patients, which includes scheduling outpatient diagnostic procedures and completing the pre-registration and insurance verification/authorization processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one to two years of patient scheduling and registration experience preferred.
• Requires a working knowledge of third-party payer requirements, healthcare billing, and strong customer service experience with demonstrated service excellence.
• Requires the ability to prioritize and perform work in an organized, efficient and effective manner without constant supervision or direction.
• Experience in data entry, collections and medical terminology preferred.
