Universal Health Services (UHS) - Western Region Consolidated Business Office (WCBO) is seeking a Patient Account Specialist-Central Scheduler for a Tuesday-Saturday shift (Tuesday-Friday 8:30A-5:00P; Saturday 8:00A-4:30P). This on-site call center role involves scheduling procedures, patient registrations, and processing surgery payments.

You will collaborate with health insurance providers to verify policy information.

Job Description: Patient Account Specialist-Central Scheduler: Tuesday- Saturday shift(Tuesday-Friday 8:30A-5:00P)-(Saturday 8:00A-4:30P) $18.00-$21.58/hour

The Patient Account Specialist Central Scheduler handles outgoing customer calls to assist patients with registration, including scheduling upcoming procedures, and processing surgery payments. This role involves close collaboration with medical insurance companies to verify policy information. This is an on-site call center position.

Qualifications

Experience:

2+ years acute care medical office and registration insurance verification experience preferred. Bilingual preferred.

Education:High School or equivalent.

Requirements:

• Understanding of third-party payer requirements and healthcare billing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Works, Excel, database, and patient accounting systems.
• Data entry and customer service skills.
• Collections and understanding of medical terminology preferred.
