Job summary

Ameritex Pipe & Products is seeking a Central Receiver to accurately identify, verify, record, and receive inbound shipments. You will help insure product and packaging quality, instruct others in proper sorting and flowing of inbound items, and maintain complete receiving records.

Minimum education is a High School Diploma with about one year of procurement or receiving experience; college-level accounting/finance degree is preferred. Some overtime may be required to ensure inventory accuracy.

• Ability to count, weigh or measure items and verify information against invoices or orders.

Responsibilities

• Count, weigh or measure items on incoming shipments and verify information.
• Maintain receiving and shipping records and material inventories.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Conduct periodic spot counts on raw materials and non-inventoried production items.
• Keep organized and detailed records.
• Work timely and with a positive attitude; occasional overtime as needed.
• Other duties assigned by supervisor.

Salary Range: $18.00 To $20.00 Hourly

This position Accurately identifies, verifies, records, and receives inbound shipments and to insures product and packaging quality. Receivers work with and instruct other individuals in insuring proper sorting, segregating, staging, and flowing of inbound products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:

• Count, weigh or measure items on incoming and outgoing shipments, verity information against invoices, orders, and other records


• Maintain receiving and shipping records, delivery truck maintenance records and returned parts records


• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies


• Periodic spot counts on raw material inventory items. IE: Pipe Steel, Box Steel, Rock, Sand, Cement, Flyash.


• Periodic spot counts on non-inventoried production items: IE: Spacers, form oil, ext,,,.


• Keep organized and detailed records.


• Be Timely in your daily tasks. Set schedules to assure your job is being done accurately and timely on a daily basis.


• There will be times when asked to stay late or come in on Weekend to assure receivables are accurate before inventories.


• Be able to work with others and have a positive attitude at all times.


• Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor or a senior member of the management team and considered a business necessity.

EDUCATION & EXPEREINCE

• High School Diploma. A college level degree in accounting/finance is preferred.


• One year of procurement or receiving experience.
