The Service Specialist is individually responsible for the creation of product skus, description, and price structure within our ERP system as well as ongoing price maintenance and updates. This role is very computer and data centric and is an integral component of our ability to quickly create profits with accurate work accomplished in a timely fashion with attention to detail, triage and sense of urgency being paramount. This individual works often and seamlessly with our sales team, IT team, management, buyers, and with all of our vendor partners.Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain product skus within our ERP including product descriptions and unit of measure and price structure and integrityUpdate and maintain product pricing perpetually based on ongoing communication around pricing with vendor partnersMaintain base pricing in partnership with sales and purchasing team membersWork in congress with IT and across our entire organization in support of our new ERP transition and then in perpetual support of its maintenancePerform other related duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentExperienced in the Lumber industryKnowledgeable in inventory control principles and protocolsMust be able to operate a personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the jobProficiency in Microsoft, Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to speak, write, and read English requiredPoint-of-sale system experience (Falcon and/or K8 a plus)Must have reliable transportationUnderstanding of auditing best practices preferredAbility to operate a forklift preferredInterpersonal SkillsAbility to work cordially, professionally, diplomatically and with a high level of customer service in a dynamic environment.Demonstrate sound judgment in dealing with sensitive business matters with internal and external customers of all types.
