Responsibilities
Reviews and coordinates routine, single-order purchase request in accordance with Tribal and Casino policies and within Federal Funding Agency procurement guidelines.
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following:
An individual must be able to successfully perform each the essential functions of this position listed below with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Review purchasing requisitions to ensure compliance with the Tribe and Casino purchasing procedures, Federal Funding Agency and Kickapoo Gaming Commission approved procurement guidelines, and user requirements.
- Process Requisitions into Purchase Orders, notify appropriate personnel of any issues that arise with the item(s) requisitioned or on the Purchase Order, and distribute copies of Purchase Orders to appropriate departments.
- Interact with vendor and departments regarding procedures and status of Purchase Orders, until orders are received complete.
- Request quotes, as needed.
- Research new vendors, as needed.
- May assist with Procurement projects as needed.
- Maintain records in accordance with established policies and procedures and audit guidelines.
- Ensures the highest possible standards of guest service are provided and listens and responds to guest and employee concerns and questions.
- Ensures vendors licenses are issued to each vendor, prior to ordering.
- Maintains vendor licensing status reports.
- Works under time constraints and pressure to issue reports.
- Processes purchase requests into purchase orders.
- Consults catalogs and interviews suppliers to obtain prices and specifications, as necessary.
- Coordinates returns, exchanges, and/or credits with the requesting department, Accounts Payable Department and the vendor.
- Assists the Supervisor with any task at hand.
- Perform such other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the Supervisor, Central Purchasing Supervisor, Assistant Controller, Controller, and CFO.

- Ability to analyze purchasing requests/orders for compliance with Tribal procedures and Federal Funding Agency procurement guidelines.
- Ability to document work in progress.
- Ability to prepare requests for quotes in compliance with Tribal policies and procedures and with Federal Funding Agency procurement guidelines.
- Ability to complete moderately complex administrative paperwork. Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
AVAILABILITY
An individual must have the following job availability to perform one or more essential functions of this position.
Location: 2212 Rosita Valley Rd, Eagle Pass, TX 78852.
Usual Work Hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM Monday - Friday.
Flexibility: The employee may need to work nights, weekends, holidays and/or extended hours if required.
TRAVEL
Traveling may be necessary to perform one or more essential functions of this position.
Supervision exercised
This position does/does not carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Education/experience requirements
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED.
At least 1 year or more related experience and/or training.
Must have access to reliable transportation to commute to and from work.
Must be able to obtain a gaming license issued by the Kickapoo Gaming Commission within the 90-Day Probation.
Must be able to maintain a gaming license issued by the Kickapoo Gaming Commission.
