We are currently offering a sign-on bonus for eligible full-time positions!

The bonus amount depends on your experience in Central Processing:

• $5,000 sign-on bonus, 2-year commitment – no experience necessary
• $7,000 sign-on bonus, 2-year commitment – 1–2 years of Sterile Processing experience with certification
• $10,000 sign-on bonus, 2-year commitment – more than 2 years of Sterile Processing experience with certification

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This role involves receiving, cleaning, distributing, and storing medical instruments and equipment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Transporting soiled equipment and performing decontamination and disinfection using automated and manual methods. (30%)
• Operating sterilizers according to regulatory and manufacturer guidelines. (30%)
• Inspecting, auditing, and assembling surgical instrument sets and medical devices; assembling surgical case carts accurately and efficiently. (30%)
• Processing requests for patient care equipment via computerized systems and telephone. (5%)
• Contacting outside vendors for rental equipment delivery. (5%)
• Performing other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• For CST hired after 12/29/2020: Pass a nationally accredited central service exam within 18 months of hire and maintain certification as CRCST or CSPDT.

Preferred:

• Experience in sterile processing or hospital setting preferred.
