Boston Medical Center seeks a Central Processing Technician III to oversee advanced sterile processing duties and lead CP Tech I/II teams. You will coordinate instrument delivery across surgical areas and ensure inventory accuracy, records, and labels are up to date.

Position Summary: The Central Processing Technician III (CP Tech III) must be able to perform all the duties of a CP Tech I and CP Tech II, and must meet or exceed BMC/Department and Industry standards in carrying them out. The CP Tech III is responsible for collaborating with Supervisors, the Clinical Educator, and the Training Coordinator to provide instruction and preceptor-ship to CP Tech IIs and CP Tech Is as directed. The CP Tech III also ensures the availability and delivery of Surgical Modules, instruments, and other surgical supplies to and from the Surgical Suites, Labor and Delivery, Ambulatory Surgery, and other customer departments. The CP Tech III uses superb English language and interpersonal skills to maintain open oral, written, telephone, and electronic communication with all Health Care Team members. The CP Tech III identifies, locates, and prints out MD preference cards from the CP Department’s computer system and facilitates improvement in quality and service. The CP Tech III also coordinates the efforts of the CP Tech Team to maintain the OR Suites’ instrument supply carts at PAR levels. All CP Tech IIIs must maintain detailed records (including accurate written logs and computer-generated labels). The CP Tech III completes assigned work on time, enabling the Department to achieve its mission.
