Job Summary:
The Field Technician IV is responsible for all aspects of equipment installation and repair at our clients’ locations. Technical elements include troubleshooting basic connectivity and mechanical issues. The position requires traveling to client sites and ensuring top-notch customer service. Previous knowledge of Telecommunications and Data/IT maintenance and repair is required.
Responsibilities:
- Hardware installation & decommissioning of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting and repair of data center hardware and networking infrastructure.
- Rack and stack of data center equipment, including servers, networking devices, monitoring systems, and other equipment.
- Rack installation, cabling, powering up, and handing off servers to internal provisioning teams.
- Documentation of activities and creation/modification of SOPs.
- Decommissioning lifecycle of data center hardware.
- Inventory management, ordering replacement parts, and returning failed parts as required.
- Structured cabling, labeling, and troubleshooting of fiber/copper/telecom cables.
- System power supplies and cabling installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Ensuring the accuracy of equipment installation.
- Executing small projects independently and collaborating with managers on larger projects.
