The DeKalb County School District is seeking an experienced and professional Manager III, Student Information Systems.

Title: Manager III, Student Information Systems

Maintain accountability for actions that impact multiple departments. Provide leadership and oversight for the Student Information Systems department, managing registration, records, scheduling, state reporting, and support services, and ensure effective collaboration with educational institutions, government entities, and vendors. Provide administrative supervision and support to team members, participate in the development of policies and procedures, and oversee the department's budget management.

Essential Functions:

  1. Provide technical support to staff on state reporting systems, fostering a culture of continuous learning within the team.
  2. Provide leadership and guidance for the Student Information Systems (SIS) State Reporting unit, ensuring responsibility for the overall management of the unit.
  3. Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to state reporting, utilizing technical expertise to enhance departmental functions.
  4. Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely state reports, working on issues requiring an in-depth knowledge of this functional area.
  5. Ensure compliance with state reporting requirements and regulations, addressing problems that are not clearly defined by developing innovative solutions.
  6. Coordinate and manage the workflow and activities of the reporting unit to meet deadlines and objectives.
  7. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of state reporting processes and systems, making recommendations for improvements as needed to optimize performance.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Master's degree in Instructional Technology, Information Technology, or related field with 7+ years of related and/or supervisory experience.
  • Experience should include a minimum of 3 years developing efficient master schedules for public school districts.
  • Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission-approved certificate in Educational Leadership at level L-5, NL-5, PL-6 is preferred.
  • Certification in Content Area at T-5 or above is also preferred.
