Responsibilities
The Service Representative - Parking Lot Attendant [PLA] provides customer service by packaging and carrying out purchases, assisting customers, and supporting overall customer service activities. Works under supervision following detailed instructions. Responsibilities include:
- Packaging customer purchases efficiently and correctly.
- Assisting customers with their purchases and product inquiries.
- Engaging customers in discussions about products, including taste profiles, complementary items, and preparation techniques.
- Returning merchandise to shelves when necessary.
- Providing friendly, fast service with a smile.
- Directing Customer Service Associates in the parking lot.
- Managing baskets and carts, ensuring they are available, clean, and in good condition.
- Assisting customers with unloading merchandise into their vehicles.
- Ensuring sanitizing supplies are available for customers.
- Reporting parking lot issues to management.
- Walking the parking lot to retrieve abandoned shopping carts.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of kids carts, electric carts, and infant seats.
- Ensuring electric carts are charged and operational.
- Providing water to customers as needed.
Requirements
- Typically requires 0-2 years of experience; no prior experience or training necessary.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and manuals.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to remain calm and focused during interruptions or stressful situations.
