Responsibilities

Summary/Responsibilities of this position: Central Market is seeking a Production Specialist with availability to include days, evenings, and weekends to handle the freshest quality ingredients. Production Specialists work under direct supervision and apply both basic and advanced skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment relevant to their specialization. Specialized knowledge may be required.

Duties of this position may include:

• Mixing, shaping, baking, wrapping, and stocking products
• Ensuring quality control of all products before sending them to the sales floor
• Maintaining sanitation in the department
• Organizing back storage, freezer, walk-in, and production areas
• Reading and executing daily production lists
• Calculating figures and amounts such as weights, discounts, percentages, and volumes
• Providing customer service, including answering questions and taking orders by phone
• Monitoring the quality of goods and shrinkage
• Ordering and receiving products and supplies
• Maintaining transfer records
• Prepping, wrapping, pricing, selling, and stocking products continuously
• Demonstrating or preparing customer samples for self-serve
• Providing excellent customer service
• Using suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales

Requirements:

• Experience with commercial production preferred
