Responsibilities

Summary/Responsibilities of this position: Central Market is seeking a Production Representative with availability to include days, evenings, and weekends to handle the freshest, quality ingredients. Assignments will vary depending on the department in the store. Duties include:

• Mixing, shaping, baking, wrapping, and stocking products
• Ensuring quality control of all products before they are sent to the sales floor
• Maintaining sanitation in the department
• Organizing back storage, freezer, walk-in, and production areas
• Reading and executing the daily production list
• Providing customer service, such as answering questions and taking orders by phone
• Monitoring the quality of goods and shrinkage
• Ordering and receiving products and supplies
• Maintaining transfer records
• Preparing, wrapping, pricing, selling, and stocking products continuously
• Demonstrating or preparing customer samples for self-serve
• Providing excellent customer service
• Using suggestive selling techniques to maximize sales

Requirements

• Experience with commercial production preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy loads (minimum of 50 lbs.)
• Ability to bend, reach, push, and pull
• Flexibility to work overnight, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge and preparation of baked goods preferred
