Overview

Responsibilities

Summary: Responsible for stocking grocery products according to established merchandising procedures during overnight hours, while maintaining productivity standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Communicate daily with the Stock Controller to review nightly goals and tasks.
  2. Keep the department clean and well-organized, including the back room and shelves.
  3. Stock shelves, refill displays, and perform overall recovery of the department.
  4. Ensure compliance with established SOPs, including proper product handling, rotation, and storage.
  5. Load, unload, and move heavy and bulky products.
  6. Work efficiently to meet productivity standards.
  7. Report equipment issues to the Stock Controller or Overnight Operations Manager.
Education and Experience (Preferred)
  • 3-6 months minimum prior stocking experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic reading and writing skills in English.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Teamwork and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work overnight shifts.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks and other equipment; forklift/powerjack training preferred.
Physical and Other Requirements
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, confined spaces, cleaning chemicals, and airborne particles.
  • Moderate noise level.
  • Lift up to 75 lbs. individually; heavier loads may require team lifting.
  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist, squat, stand, and walk for long periods.
  • Push and pull heavy loads of 75 lbs.
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced, with frequent exposure to small, confined areas and chemicals. Long periods of standing and walking are required, with moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
