Job summary

Alverno Laboratories seeks a Central Laboratory – General Laboratory supervisor to oversee operations in Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, and RIA, ensuring technical oversight and staff competency. The role supports the lab's mission to provide accurate, timely results in a healing environment.

The candidate will coordinate quality control, proficiency testing, and process improvements, while maintaining regulatory compliance across the core disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology with 1 year high complexity testing experience.
• Associate degree in a laboratory science or MT with at least 2 years high complexity testing experience, as defined by CLIA.
• Proven ability to supervise high complexity testing and ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, plan, and control all lab operations and personnel in General Laboratory.
• Provide technical supervision across Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology and RIA.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and quality control programs in testing areas.
