Young Life in the United States seeks dedicated individuals to join our ministry-focused staff. The role centers on building relationships with kids and volunteers, developing leaders, and supporting fundraising within a Christian mission.
You will participate in regional and area training, work under area directors, and pursue a college degree while contributing to club and Campaigners activities and summer camp planning.
Young Life requires all employees to sign a Statement of Faith.
Because of Young Life’s exclusive Christian purposes of evangelism and discipleship as set forth in its Articles of Incorporation and in these Bylaws, and to reflect what has always been and will continue to be the position of Young Life, specifically the Christian belief that each and every employee and volunteer of the corporation should minister as a servant of God with the primary responsibility of proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and, as such, is an integral part of the Christian mission and ministry of the corporation, Young Life shall only employ individuals or enlist volunteer leaders who: (a) profess a belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord; and (b) subscribe to the statements and policies required of all Young Life staff, including the Young Life Statement of Faith.
Therefore, employees and volunteers of Young Life, during working and nonworking hours, shall: (i) be ready, willing and able to fulfill such ministry functions as may be required by the organization; (ii) refrain from conduct and statements that detract from the biblical standards taught and supported by Young Life, and (iii) abide by all policies and practices of Young Life including, without limitation, those related to religious belief or ministry activities.
At the regional director’s prerogative, certain regional training events may be required.
Work through job assignments under the supervision of the area director or assigned mentor (assignments may be adapted to fit individual needs and the area situation) Receive individualized training supervised by the area director designed to develop personal spiritual maturity and enhance personal character. Give particular focus to an individualized program to learn and gain competency in ministry skills (i.e. The 5 C’s). Become familiar with area strategy and ministry health as assigned by the area director. Receive introduction to personal fund‑raising principles, including familiarity with Basic Elements for Part‑Time Staff Take advantage of Young Life discipleship experiences (e.g. summer staff, discipleship focus, adventure camping).
Education: Pursuing a college degree.
Job Specific Working Conditions: In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is outlined below. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the United States. The anticipated salary rate for this position can range from $7500-$8500 depending on relevant education, experience, and location.
