Holyoke Public Schools in Holyoke, MA, is seeking a central supply/maintenance technician to keep school facilities operating at peak condition. The role requires coordinating repairs, ordering supplies, and supervising outside contractors as needed, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will work with the Facilities Manager, perform routine and emergency maintenance, maintain records, and participate in snow removal and grounds tasks.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work with others as part of a team.
• Good physical condition and stamina for maintenance work.
• Must have a valid Massachusetts drivers license.
• Experience with dump trucks and hydraulic equipment is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Determines which repair jobs may be performed by staff and which require outside contractors, advising administration accordingly.
• Recommends supplies and equipment for purchase and maintains inventory of tools and materials.
• Consults with administration regularly for needed repairs and maintenance.
• Estimates costs of repair projects in terms of labor, materials, and overhead.
• Performs routine maintenance and repairs to electrical, plumbing, and hardware components.
• Repairs fences, asphalt, concrete, walls, ceilings, and related structures.
• Develops emergency repair processes to handle problems efficiently.
• Performs grounds maintenance including tree work and snow removal with custodial staff.
• Orders materials as needed and suggests supplies for purchase; maintains records.
