Job summary

HORST ENGINEERING & MANUFACTURING CO in East Hartford, CT is seeking a Centerless Grinding Set-Up Operator. The role is full-time, on-site, with 1st or 2nd shift.

Responsibilities include setting up and running centerless grinders (Cincinnati, Royal Master, Kellenberger) to produce precision parts and ensure adherence to blueprints and process sheets. Candidates should have at least 3 years of centerless grinding experience, be able to read blueprints, edit CNC programs, and pass a

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent. Technical school training a plus.
• 3 years minimum of Centerless Grind experience, set-up and operation.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Able to read and understand operation sheets/blueprints and CNC programs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate centerless grinders to produce high-precision parts per blueprints and travelers.
• Check materials meet specifications and retrieve stock from staging area.
• Perform complex set-ups and adjust machinery; edit programs as needed and document results.
• Support other operators and train colleagues as required.
• Ensure parts meet quality standards and perform dimensional verification.
