Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, in Largo, FL, seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee employee performance, scheduling and overall operations in the plasma collection areas. You will work directly with donors to resolve concerns and ensure quality standards are met.

You will lead inventory control and analyze opportunities related to non-conforming events, while performing tasks across Medical History, Phlebotomy, and Sample Processing. A strong team mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Frequent bending, reaching and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk/stand for entire shift; monitor equipment from distance.
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens necessitates glove use.

About the role:

Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will become life-changing medicines. You will report to the Center Manager and oversee the general management of employees assigned to the production areas. BioLife Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd.

How you will contribute:

• You will oversee employee performance and scheduling
• You will lead Inventory Control efforts and lead in operational efforts
• You will work with donors to resolve concerns
• You will analyze opportunities specific to non-conforming events
• You will perform all tasks for Medical History, Phlebotomy, and Sample Processing areas
• You will foster teamwork, communicate and resolve conflicts

What you bring to Takeda:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
• Frequent bending and reaching
• Ability to walk and stand for entire shift, frequent lifting to 32 pounds and occasional lifting to 50 pounds
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to monitor equipment from a distance
• Because of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, pro-longed glove wear is required
