Job summary

The Save Mart Companies in Merced, CA is seeking a Center Store Manager to lead daily operations for the Center Store department, including inventory, pricing, and merchandising. You will guide and develop store associates to meet sales and customer service goals while maintaining store standards.

The role requires forklift certification, flexibility in scheduling, and a two-year college degree or equivalent experience. Competitive benefits and eligibility for pay range are offered.

The Center Store Manager ensures that our customers’ needs are met and exceeded through effective day-to-day management of the operations and merchandising functions for the Center Store Department.

This position oversees Center Store product and conditions to optimize sales, profits, and customer satisfaction (including back room and steel/shelving and conditions, inventory, schematics, and pricing).

The Center Store Manager provides leadership and direction to Center Store associates to promote a culture reflective ofLucky's mission statement and winning behaviors. This position trains and develops associates to enable their success and ability to advance in their careers. The Center Store Manager manages department performance and productivity to optimize store performance.

Hiring pay range: $33.41 - 35.08

Education: Two-year college degree (orequivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training, oradditional job experience)

Experience: Completion of Assistant Center Store Managerrotation – or - two years equivalent management experience – or - in currentBakery Department Manager or Meat Department Manager or Produce DepartmentManager role

Other:Must be available to work a variety of required retail hours; mustbe forklift certified
