Job summary

Schnucks is seeking a center store clerk in New York to provide friendly customer service, stock and rotate products, and handle incoming goods. This role emphasizes reliable attendance, safe operation of equipment, and maintaining clean, organized aisles in Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods, and Grocery sections.

Typical responsibilities include reading shelf tags, processing deliveries, and following safety guidelines while handling lifts and balers. Training provided at store level.

Qualifications

• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to stock 50 cases per hour.
• Ability to work in a cold environment (-10 to 40 degrees).
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to push/pull loads as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Stock, straighten and rotate product on shelves in Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods, and Grocery Departments.
• Process incoming product from our warehouse and direct store delivery vendors.
• Read and understand shelf tags.
• Sort damaged product for credit.
• Maintain cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler and freezer.
• Follow company safety guidelines when using cutters, power lifts, and baler.
• Maintain company productivity standards.
• Other duties may be assigned by store management.
