Job summary

Schenectady Community Action Program Inc is seeking an Educational Supervisor to lead early childhood classrooms, ensuring quality services and implementing approved curriculum. You will supervise staff, coordinate screenings, referrals, and IEP development, and work with families and agencies.

The role requires a BA in ECE or Special Ed (MS preferred), 3+ years teaching, 2+ years supervisory experience, and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Special Education.
• Master’s degree and Pre-K certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years classroom teaching experience.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily classroom activities and staff, ensuring quality education and curriculum implementation.
• Oversees screenings, referrals, assessments, and special education services for children who qualify.
• Coordinates with Early Intervention organizations and local school departments; supports families and staff.
• Ensures timely home visits and high-quality parent communications; develops IEPs and facilitates team meetings.
• Facilitates parent activities and maintains records; ensures approvals and policy compliance.
• Assists Education Coordinator and collaborates with management to meet program goals.
