The Role

Start a new career with Lumen while working from home! Lumen is seeking Sales and Service Associates to be the first and last voice for customers with questions about their bill and account. Associates are empathetic listeners, solution-oriented, and focus on accuracy and speed. They also present offers and products based on customer needs.

Location and Schedule

• This is a full-time, work-from-home contact center position.
• Must reside in specific states and within a Reasonable Commute Area (RCA).
• States include: Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming.

• Training is Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm MST.
• Next class starts: Monday, July 7th, 2025.

Main Responsibilities

• Assist customers with pending orders and new accounts.
• Meet performance quotas related to service, sales, and retention.
• Identify solutions across teams, including field technicians.
• Promote and sell products/services during calls.
• Handle credit calls, payment arrangements, etc., using our PIWL strategy.
• Navigate billing systems to resolve collections issues.
• Use retention tactics to prevent service disconnections.
• Maintain speed, accuracy, and quality standards.

Candidate Requirements

• At least six months of customer service experience.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, motivation to grow.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Flexible to work various shifts; no nights or weekends.
• Ability to meet and exceed goals.
• Meet logistical requirements for remote work, including reliable high-speed internet, Ethernet connection, and a dedicated workspace.

Compensation

Starting rate: $18.92 per hour.
