Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions seeks a Center Supervisor to support behavior modification efforts and develop programs promoting retention and successful student matriculation within the Job Corps center. You will provide guidance to staff on resolving negative student behavior and help maintain safety and order across the center.

Responsibilities include monitoring center activities, coordinating with the Safety/Security Manager, and ensuring adherence to center SOPs and policy requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree from a four-year college or university preferred, will accept an associate degree and one year work experience in Juvenile Justice or Human Services field.
• Five years' experience may be considered in lieu of a degree if all other position requirements can be met.
• Experience working with diverse youth.
• A valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assists with behavior modification efforts.
• Develops programs for retention and positive reinforcement of behaviors; monitors for behavior/disciplinary concerns.
• Meets with students to ensure successful matriculation through the program.
• Provide support to staff in resolving negative behavior of students.
• Monitor and maintain effective control through personal observations and center-wide checks; report issues to Safety/Security Manager and Center Director.
