Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine in California is seeking a Center Therapy Director to lead therapy programs that restore and improve patients’ physical function. You will design goals-based plans to help patients return to work and daily life with dignity and confidence, delivering high-quality care on a timely basis.

This role manages clinical and administrative duties, oversees staff, ensures compliance, and collaborates with physicians to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Graduate or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active California PT license required (or license in progress).
  • Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
  • Knowledge of physical therapy office management systems and procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outpatient experience is preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the therapeutic and rehabilitative status of the patient and develop an appropriate treatment plan.
  • Update and modify the treatment plan on an ongoing basis.
  • Use clinical reasoning in treating and planning, implementing, and monitoring patient progress.
  • Instruct and counsel patients effectively in exercises, home programs, and patient education.
  • Maintain open communication with the patient and referring physician regarding the plan of care and progress.
  • Treat team members, patients, families, and others with dignity and respect.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Manage day-to-day clinic operations to ensure compliance with company medical management model.
  • Oversee hiring, training and development of ancillary staff members.

Position Summary

As a Center Therapy Director, you will be responsible for providing treatment programs to restore and improve the physical functions of our patients. You will design programs based on the patient's specific goals to get them back to work and life with dignity and confidence. Specialties: Orthopedics, sports medicine, manual therapy, ergonomics, injury prevention

Schedule:

Flexible scheduling options - 4 10-hour shifts, 5 8-hour shifts, or 4 9-hour shifts with a half-day

Compensation:

Starting compensation range is $115,000-$135,000 annually. This position is also eligible for a $10,000 annual SPIF incentive opportunity, paid quarterly. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Responsibilities
Clinical
  • Assesses the therapeutic and rehabilitative status of the patient and develops an appropriate treatment plan
  • Updates and modifies the treatment plan on an ongoing basis.
  • Uses clinical reasoning in treating and planning, implementing, and monitoring patient progress.
  • Instruct and counsel patients effectively in exercises, home programs, and patient education.
  • Maintain open communication with the patient and referring physician (when applicable) regarding the patient's plan of care and progress.
  • Treat team members, patients, families, and others with dignity and respect.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Administrative
  • Manage day-to-day clinic operations to ensure compliance with company medical management model.
  • Offer analysis, information and suggestions with the end goal of developing Ancillary service operational policies; determine productivity, production, quality and patient-services procedures.
  • Management and directing staff including physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, chiropractors, acupuncturists and physical therapy technicians
  • Oversee the hiring, training and development of ancillary staff members.
  • Ensure legal and medical compliance and remain updated on regulations at the local, state and federal levels.
Requirements
