Job summary

DTDMIDTN, Inc. is seeking a Center Assistant Director to support the Director in delivering a high-quality childcare experience for children and families. You will help manage daily operations, staff coaching, and family engagement to meet center and company standards.

This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative approach. You will recruit, train, and supervise center staff, ensure TN DHS compliance, and foster a caring, safe, and welcoming

Qualifications

• High School diploma and ECE credential (college degree preferred).
• Minimum of one year experience in childcare, three years preferred.
• Management experience strongly recommended.
• Excellent written, oral and nonverbal communication skills.
• Proven customer service experience (ability to handle complaints effectively and efficiently).
• High level of organization, follow-through and accountability.
• Ability to work independently and to multitask.
• Flexible schedule (occasional night and weekend hours).
• Positive attitude and friendly demeanor.
• Ability to think on your feet and jump in to help wherever needed.
• Passion to care for, motivate and uplift young lives.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily routines to ensure center operations run smoothly and efficiently.
• Recruit and retain enrollments of children and families, including coordinating events.
• Collect and address parent feedback.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, supervision and coaching of center staff.
• Observe, strengthen and improve center practices.
• Maintain compliance with TN DHS rules and STARS expectations.
• Audit DHS paperwork, staff files, and health and fire inspections.
• Assist in classrooms and kitchen as needed.
• Support Director and executive management as needed.
