Job summary

Magical Beginnings is hiring an Assistant Director to join the Pembroke center leadership team. If you're an experienced childcare or early education professional ready to step into center leadership, we'd love to meet you.

As part of the center leadership team, you'll oversee operations, enrollment, staff retention, and events, while creating an environment where teachers, children, and families thrive. The role includes ensuring compliance, community engagement, and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
• EEC Director II Certification is required
• Current First Aid/CPR certification
• Active continuing education and state registry updated

Responsibilities

• Oversee center operations in line with state regulations and organizational mission
• Ensure child-to-teacher ratios, safety, and licensure requirements are met
• Prepare for licensing visits and communicate with licensors
• Maintain staff and child files in compliance and conduct regular drills
• Schedule staff within payroll guidelines while upholding licensure and quality standards
• Lead teaching staff toward excellence and build a cohesive team
• Conduct monthly staff meetings and parent meetings as needed
• Support curriculum implementation and assess children’s growth
• Provide excellent customer service to families and staff

Education

Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education

EEC Director II Certification
