Job summary

Magical Beginnings Kingston is seeking an Assistant Director to join our leadership team. If you're an experienced childcare or early education professional ready to step into center leadership, we'd love to meet you.

Oversee center operations, enrollment, staff retention, and family communications while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. You’ll guide the teaching team, implement a multicultural curriculum, and foster a supportive, motivated culture for staff, children, and families.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in early childhood education or equivalent experience.
• EEC Director II Certification and up-to-date First Aid/CPR.
• Solid understanding of licensure regulations and licensure visits.
• 2–4 years of experience in assistant director or leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee center operations in line with regulations and organizational goals.
• Ensure child-to-teacher ratios, safety compliance, and licensure readiness.
• Lead monthly staff meetings, one-on-one check-ins, and family meetings as needed.
• Support curriculum implementation and documentation of child growth.
