The Center for Training Transportation Professionals (CTTP) Support Technician is responsible for supporting all CTTP program activities and continuously improving the technician and laboratory program functions. For technician certification, this position performs course preparation activities, facilitates hands-on training, maintains spaces and manages equipment inventory, and performs equipment calibrations and verifications. This position will ensure that CTTP equipment and spaces are maintained to the highest standards, reinforcing and enhancing the student learning experience.
The CTTP Support Technician also plays a crucial role in CTTP laboratory certification by performing on-site laboratory inspection visits. This task will involve significant travel, which will be carried out in accordance with the travel policies of the University of Arkansas. Precise record keeping, accurate assessments, and equitable enforcement of standards and procedures are critical for ensuring the program is carried out in a fair and equitable manner. All responsibilities are to be performed with honesty, integrity, and professionalism and in accordance with the policies and requirements of the University of Arkansas, Arkansas Department of Transportation, and other applicable accrediting organizations.
Reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Preferred Qualifications:
This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.
