Job summary

The Southeast Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission seeks a janitor to maintain cleanliness across Head Start/Early Head Start centers within the seven-county catchment area. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year working as a janitor or similar role.
• Possess a current and valid driver’s license; must be insurable.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and required screenings (ABI/CA/N).

Responsibilities

• Cleans all buildings in a timely manner.
• Vacuums, sweeps, and/or mops all flooring.
• Cleans and disinfects restrooms.
• Dusts and cleans surfaces; keeps areas sanitary and debris-free.
• Keeps hallways, entrances, and common areas clean and organized.
• Stocking of cleaning items and supplies as needed.
