Virginia Early Learning Academies in Sterling, Virginia is seeking an Early Childhood Center Director to lead our Sterling center. The role focuses on delivering high-quality early education, guiding staff, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for children and families.

Qualifications include a graduate degree or equivalent in ECE or related field with supervisory experience, plus licensure requirements.

Qualifikationen

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must meet all state, federal, and Early Learning Academies guidelines regarding education, experience, immunizations, employment physical, and required health and safety training and practices.
• A valid driver's license is required if driving is a requirement of the position.
• Graduate degree or equivalent in ECE or related field with supervisory experience is preferred.
• Experience in a childcare/early learning setting is valued.
• Montessori, Child Development, or related credentials are optional but beneficial.

Ausbildung

Graduate degree in a related field and at least 6 months of experience

Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 1 yr of experience

48 completed college credits with at least 12 in ECE and 1 yr of experience

Early Childhood Certification and 2 yrs of experience (1 in supervision)

A Child Development Credential and 2 yrs of experience (1 in supervision)

A Montessori Certification and 2 yrs of experience (1 in supervision)

120 college credit hours in ECE within the last 3 yrs and 3 yrs programmatic experience plus one additional year of supervision experience
