Role Description

The Center Director Childcare is a full-time, on-site role located in Manasquan nj This role oversees the daily operations of the childcare center, including staff supervision, scheduling, and ensuring adherence to safety, licensing, and quality standards. The Center Director supports curriculum implementation, monitors classroom activities, and partners with educators to provide developmentally appropriate experiences for children. Daily responsibilities include building strong relationships with families, handling inquiries and enrollments, addressing concerns, and maintaining high levels of customer service. The role also involves managing budgets, supporting marketing and enrollment efforts, maintaining accurate records, and fostering a positive, inclusive culture for children, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Childcare and Early Childhood Development, with the ability to support age-appropriate learning and a safe environment.
• Experience in Education, including curriculum support, classroom oversight, and coaching or mentoring teaching staff.
• Excellent Communication skills for interacting with children, families, staff, and community partners.
• Proven Customer Service skills to manage family relationships, respond to concerns, and support enrollment and retention.
• Prior leadership or management experience in a childcare or school setting.
• Knowledge of state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and compliance practices.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to work on-site full time in Kings Park, NY and meet any required background checks and certifications.
