Job summary

Acelero Learning, Inc. is seeking a Center Director in Philadelphia to lead the center operations, ensure licensing compliance, and support teaching staff to achieve school readiness goals.

You will coach teachers, implement the curriculum with fidelity, analyze child outcomes data, and collaborate with families and the broader education team. Local travel and background checks are required, and a driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of managerial/supervisory experience.
  • Experience managing an infant/toddler or preschool program preferred.
  • Experience with collaborations and community partnerships is a plus.
  • Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.
  • Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the operational lead for the Center and Extended Day by providing ongoing support and direction.
  • Oversees the full implementation of all aspects of the center’s early learning system, policies, procedures, and tools.
  • Ensures staff and center functions comply with policies, health and safety practices, and licensing regulations.
  • Provides ongoing coaching to teaching staff to support effective practices.
  • Works with teachers to implement curriculum with fidelity and use child outcomes data to plan and individualized support.
  • Facilitates collaboration within education team and across service areas, ensuring parent involvement.
  • Participates in Head Start/Early Head Start activities and required trainings.
  • Manages records and reporting across required systems for the center.
  • Attends meetings, events, and trainings as required.

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in a non-related field and at least 6 relevant courses can be considered.2. Minimum of 1 year of managerial/supervisory experience required.3.
