Job summary

Ebenezer Child Care Centers is seeking a FUN, CREATIVE & INSPIRING Center Director to lead one of our 5-Star early childhood programs in Wisconsin. The role focuses on energizing the team, partnering with families, and delivering high-quality early learning through the E.P.I.C.

Curriculum. You’ll guide daily operations, recruit and mentor staff, ensure compliance, and create a welcoming, safe environment that supports children, families, and teachers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred; Associate’s Degree considered with relevant experience.
• Previous early childhood experience, preferably in a leadership or administrative role.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Wisconsin childcare licensing regulations and early childhood best practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the center to ensure smooth running.
• Recruit, mentor, and support staff to build a strong team.
• Build relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Support the E.P.I.C. Curriculum Framework and high-quality early learning practices.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, enrollment, documentation, and compliance.
• Partner with families through listening, clear communication, problem-solving, and celebration of successes.

What Does a Center Director Do?

As a Center Director, you’re the heartbeat of your center. You’ll lead your team, support teachers, partner with families, celebrate children, tackle challenges, and help create a center where people genuinely want to be. Some days you’ll be planning and problem-solving. Other days you might jump into a classroom, celebrate a child’s accomplishment, support a teacher, or simply share a laugh with your team.

No two days are exactly alike—and that’s what makes this job so much fun!

In This Role, You Will:

• Lead the way by overseeing daily operations and keeping things running smoothly.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred; Associate’s Degree considered with relevant experience.
• Previous early childhood experience, preferably in a leadership or administrative role.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Wisconsin childcare licensing regulations and early childhood best practices.
• A collaborative, positive leadership style.
• Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for children, families, and teachers.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain within three months.
• Successful completion of required background check, health screening, and TB test.
