Job summary

Ebenezer Child Care Centers, Inc. invites you to join our welcoming team as an Assistant Teacher. We serve infants through school-age children across Milwaukee County and foster curiosity, imagination, and a lifelong love of learning using the EPIC Curriculum.

You’ll support the Lead Teacher and Director, plan engaging activities, build strong relationships with children and families, and contribute to a safe, joyful classroom environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum state-required coursework completed (or ability to complete within 6 months).
• Understanding of child development and passion for working with young children.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Positive, patient, and flexible personality.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
• Clear background check, health screening, and TB test.

• Partner with the Lead Teacher to implement engaging, hands-on curricula.
• Plan and lead activities that spark creativity, curiosity, and intellectual growth.
• Foster a welcoming and fun classroom environment where children feel safe and inspired.

• Ensure smooth daily transitions between home and the center.

About the Role: Assistant Teacher

The Assistant Teacher plays a vital role in our classrooms, supporting the Lead Teacher and Director in creating a safe, nurturing environment for our children.
