Qualifications

  • 3 years of relevant experience OR 1 year with Registered Behavioral Technician Certification.
  • 1-3 years experience working with children with disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides hands-off emotional and psychological support to the client.
  • Implement interventions from the Individual Support Plan.
  • Conduct assessments of functional skills including ADLs.

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare provides Comprehensive Youth and Family Support Services to primary caregivers of children and teens with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities. Serving the state of New Jersey, we are looking for Part-Time Center-Based Behavioral Technicians to join our team!

Starting Rate $20.00/hour

A Center-Based Behavioral Technician will visit the client in our East Orange outpatient center to provide relief to caregivers and holistic support to youth. Our providers typically work 2-20 hours weekly in 2-4 hour shifts primarily in the evening hours. Services are available any day of the week to accommodate the scheduling needs of our clients.

Provides hands-off emotional and psychological support to the client and other members of the household and establishes a relationship with the client and family

Implement interventions from the Individual Support Plan

Assessment of functional skills (Including ADL’s – Activities of Daily Living).

Utilizes redirection to minimize problematic behaviors.

Adherence to the requirements and deadlines for weekly note submission and data collection (D.A.P. notes)

Assist/guide parent/guardian in following treatment plan under direction from Therapist.

Crisis Intervention, recognition, and intervention.

Actively promotes client’s mental alertness and engagement through involvement in activities of interest

Follow and implement agency policies.

Participate in required training.

Provide services In-community, and In-center (Orange Twp).

Participates in case of reviews, consulting with the team caring for the client, to evaluate the client’s needs and plan for continuing services.

Ensure the safety and well-being of the client.

Qualifications:
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor H-1B or other employment visas at this time.

Bachelor’s Degree in psychology or related field.

3 years of relevant experience OR 1 year of experience with a valid Registered Behavioral Technician Certification.

1-3 years experience in behavioral healthcare.

1-3 years experience working with children with disabilities.

Valid NJ Driver’s license and proof of car insurance.

Consent to and pass State/Federal Criminal Background Checks.
