Job summary

Community Autism Services (CAS) is seeking a Center-Based Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 ABA therapy under BCBA supervision for young children in a center setting. You will use play-based activities to promote skill development, collect accurate data, and contribute to a collaborative team committed to consistent, compassionate care.

Role Overview

As a Center-Based Behavior Technician,you'll work directly with young children (typically ages18 months-6 years) to support skill development through play-based, individualized ABA therapy.You'll be part of a collaborative team that values creativity, consistency, and compassionate care.

Pay Ranges (Based on Education & Experience)
  • High School Diploma /Associate's Degree:$20.00 - $25.00/hour
  • Bachelor's Degree:$21.00 - $25.00/hour
Additional factors that may increase starting pay include:
  • Prior experience working in ABA or related behavioral health settings
  • Higher levels of education or relevant coursework
  • Fluency in additionallanguages that support the families we serve
  • Advanced certifications or specialized training (e.g., RBT certification)
Qualifications
  • Minimum age of 18
  • High School diploma or GEDrequired
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including:
    • Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs
    • Bending, kneeling, squatting, and transitioning between activities and locations throughout the session
    • Responding appropriately to challenging behaviors, which may include aggression, elopement, or self-injurious behaviors
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Willingness to support coverage at nearby centers if needed No prior ABA experiencerequired-we train you
Experience That Transfers Well
  • Childcare or education (nanny, preschool teacher, tutor, paraprofessional)
  • Special education, psychology, sociology, or related studies
  • Mental health or human services roles
  • Camp counselor, volunteer, or youth program experience
